Case Conclusion

The patient’s hemoglobin, WBC count, and platelet count were normal; however, the WBC differential revealed approximately 10% abnormal lymphocytes. These cells exhibited condensed chromatin, high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic (N:C) ratios, irregular nuclear contours, and deep, narrow nuclear clefts. Flow cytometry confirmed the presence of a population of clonal B cells.
