There are five normal leukocytes present in peripheral blood and they are classified Neutrophil Granulocytes, Eosinophil Granulocytes and Basophil Granulocytes, Lymphocytes and Monocytes. The normal blood count for leukocytes are 4-11x10^9/L Leukocytes are involved in the body’s defense against bacteria, viruses, allergic reactions and tumor cells.
