In 1994, Christer Fåhraeus laid the foundation for CellaVision with a visionary goal: to revolutionize automated microscopic analysis. The journey began with an ambitious concept — a multifunctional machine designed to create stain and image slides using a patented circular microscope. A pivotal change occurred in 1998 when Yvonne Mårtensson joined as CEO. Under her leadership, the focus was put on imaging and AI, driving the business to new heights.
Fast forward to today, we have transformed from a small team into a global leader, with over 230 dedicated employees and more than 8,000 units sold across 40+ countries. As we reflect on our journey, we look forward to sharing the history of our devices and software, along with the groundbreaking innovations and valuable partnerships that have shaped our success.
