Killian Ah-Ming - Packaging Line Pilot

“From the beginning, I appreciated that CellaVision is both a flexible and caring organization where the human aspect plays a central role.”

Q: Can you briefly introduce yourself and a bit about your background?

I work as a Packaging Line Pilot and I have been with the company for two and a half years. I originally started my career in a plastics processing company, a field that attracted me because of its technical challenges and the complexity of the work. I have always been interested in problem solving, analyzing situations, and understanding how complex systems function.

However, an incident in my previous company made me reconsider my professional path and encouraged me to explore a new field where I could continue developing these interests in a different environment.

Q: What was it about CellaVision that made you decided to join?

I first joined the company on a temporary contract, and what motivated me to stay and become a full-time employee were the opportunities for growth and development. From the start, I was drawn to the human, flexible and supportive culture at CellaVision, and for me, this type of environment is essential for professional fulfilment. Being part of a workplace where people support each other and where development is encouraged has made my experience here particularly rewarding.

Q: How would you describe your current role and main responsibilities?

In my current role, my main mission is to operate and oversee an entire production line, from supply management, including utilities and labelling, all the way to the output of the finished product. I ensure that the production line functions properly on a daily basis while maintaining efficiency and reliability. I am also responsible for managing a packaging area and act as a key point of contact between the laboratory, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

This coordination is essential to ensure that every step of the production process runs smoothly and that production continuity is maintained.

Q: Can you share an example of a project or task you are particularly proud of?

One project I am especially proud of is the implementation of a production line in our new building. I contributed to the installation and start-up of the line, which involved numerous tests and the resolution of unexpected issues that naturally arise during this type of transfer. The project required strong teamwork and close collaboration with both internal departments and external service providers.

Seeing the line become operational and knowing that it helps increase the company’s production capacity was very rewarding and gave me a strong sense of contribution to the organization.

Q: How have you developed, professionally or personally, since you started working at CellaVision?

Since joining the company, I have grown professionally by taking on new responsibilities. I started as a packaging operator and was quickly able to move into my current role as Packaging Line Pilot. During a colleague’s absence, I also had the opportunity to coordinate teams, manage schedules, and take on more management-oriented tasks.

This experience allowed me to develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of the industrial environment, product lines, and production processes.

Q: What hobbies, interests or passions do you have that shape who you are?

Outside of work, I am passionate about football and the values it represents, especially team spirit. I am a supporter of the Girondins de Bordeaux, and despite the difficult period the club is currently experiencing, I remain convinced that they will return to the top one day. In many ways, the values I appreciate in football, teamwork, resilience, and dedication, are the same ones that motivate me in my professional life as well.
