CellaVision, which develops and sells digital morphology products for the routine analysis of blood and other body fluids, has via its distributor officially been approved for sale of the CellaVision(TM) DM96 in Taiwan. In connection to this CellaVision has also received its first order from SanTung Instruments.
CellaVision has previously met the Taiwanese Quality System Documentation requirements (QSD), which, in combination with the product registration will allow for SanTung Instruments to begin marketing the CellaVision(TM) DM96 in Taiwan.
"Taiwan represents a significant market, which is why it is particularly important to work with a partner that has both extensive experience of the laboratory market as well as good knowledge of our applications," comments Yvonne Mårtensson, CEO of CellaVision. "The population of Taiwan is the size of the Nordic market and the country has a purchasing power of the EU. The first order is of an instrument that will be used to generate sales, as most clients choose to evaluate instruments in their laboratories before deciding to purchase."
CellaVision's products were presented at the Congress of Taiwan Society of Laboratory Medicine exhibition in Taipei between the 10th and 11th of November.
The product registration was issued by the Taiwanese Department of Health, DOH.
