Automated workflow
The user inserts barcode labeled slides into a magazine and places the magazine on a conveyor. The system can initially be loaded with eight magazines, each containing twelve slides. The process starts automatically and order data and patient information are automatically received from the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

Details:

1. Load one or more magazines and place onto the conveyor.
2. The system automatically starts locating and collecting the cell images.
3. Open the slide you want to verify.
4. The cell images will be presented on screen for quick verification.
5. To verify the slide, look through the DM96 pre-classification for each WBC class, the RBC morphology and the PLT estimate. Re-classify if needed.
6. Sign the slide and the next slide will open up automatically.
