Erythrocytes – Color

Normally, erythrocytes have reddish-brown color due to the presence of hemoglobin. The centre of the cell is pale because of the biconcave shape.

The course has been created by Lars Hjorth, MD and Stanislaw Garwicz, MD, PhD, both at the Department of Pediatrics, University Hospital in Lund, Sweden, 2000.
